How are you all doing this evening? I have missed a few posts on helping all of us reach our optimum health. I promise to get back to that this weekend. For today, I came across a fantastic article I thought would prove useful to those living with bipolar and their families.
One of the most difficult things for us is getting the support we need, isn't it? We don't want close friends and family to feel sorry for us; we want them to educate themselves on our condition and support us in our ongoing treatment and recovery. I can't stress how vital this is.
This article outlines the 10 ways family or loved ones can give their support to those folks in their lives living with mental health challenges. I learned a few things from it too. Feel free to pass it along to those you think could benefit from it.
Thank you and please come back later in the weekend for our next post.
Here's the link to the article: Parents, Partners, Friends and Bipolar Disorder bphope

Such a great article. I have a sister who suffers from bipolar and I am always looking for new information on the disorder. A great website I came across was http://onlineceucredit.com/edu/social-work-ceus-ba. It offers a lot of helpful information about bipolar and treating the symptoms. Hope this is helpful!
ReplyDeleteWasn't it greaet, Betty? I applaude you for researching your sister's condition so you can both learn about it as well as know how to educate others.
DeleteThank you for the link. It looks like some sort of course outline but there is information in there as well as research people can 'Google' for more information.
